About Us
Impacting Our Local Communities, One Family At a Time
The David Amapakaye Okumgba Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering sustainable community development. Founded in 2024 by a group of passionate individuals, the foundation was established with the vision of empowering underserved communities through education, healthcare, economic development, and environmental sustainability.

Our Story
The David Amapakaye Okumgba Foundation draws it's vision, mission, motivation and inspiration from the legacy of Chief David Amapakaye Okumgba. Chief David Okumgba was known for his philanthropic gestures as well as love for his community, the ancient Ogoloma kingdom. In keeping with this enduring legacy this foundation has been founded, with the hope and conviction that, with God's help we shall share God's love to all people within our scope of operations.
Insight
The foundation began its journey in a small rural community, where the founders identified a dire need for basic services and support in the host community of Ogoloma, in WALGA, Rivers State, Nigeria. Initially focusing on medical outreach as an introductory program, the foundation will also provide scholarships, school supplies, and youth rehabilitation programs. After the first outreach, the scope of the foundation's activities expanded to include economic empowerment programs, environmental projects, and social welfare services.

Through partnerships with local and international organizations, the David Amapakaye Okumgba Foundation has aimed to grow its impact, reaching thousands of individuals across multiple communities. Today, it stands as a beacon of hope and progress, continually adapting to the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
